Community is not merely a pleasant attribute but a core vale. That is, rather than think of the idea of community as a list of things or qualities - parks, recreation centers, safe streets - we think of community as a fundamental value that speaks to the worth and importance of every individual. We honor the unique talents individuals bring, and we work to use and develop such attributes instead of seeking to smother and assimilate them. The underling tenet here is to search for connectedness while we maintain difference.
